I had the wonderful opportunity to spend 24 hours in Waco, TX. I have admired Chip & Joanna’s Fixer Upper show on HGTV for several years now. Their home aesthetics are serious GOALS! After visiting Texas for the first time for Poshmark’s annual conference in Dallas, my friends and I took the opportunity to visit this growing small town before our Monday night flight. We picked up a rental vehicle, booked a tiny home Airbnb & spent a rainy day in this adorable small town. Unfortunately, we planned our 24 hour Waco trip on Sunday into Monday … I wish we had done more research because apparently everything is closed on Sundays here in Waco! Therefore, I highly recommend going Friday into Saturday if you’re a big Fixer Upper fan & want to visit their businesses.
Being a city girl from Southern California, this slow paced & charming small town definitely was a great unwinding trip after a hectic Poshfest conference. Our isolated tiny home in the countryside had a ton of gorgeous bushes of flowers with huge yellow butterflies flying everywhere. Before we knew it, it was nighttime & pouring rain.
Here are a few pictures we were able to snap!

Where everything on the menu is fresh & absolutely delicious!
My fabulous PFFs @phoenixfaun & @queenbofposh waiting indoors for our breakfast at Magnolia Table, since it was raining cats & dogs outdoors.
Because this is such a popular spot, we waited a little over an hour to seat 3 of us in the community table. Plan accordingly! The overall experience was totally worth the wait. Here are my recommendations:
- Juice flight
- Vanilla latte
- Breakfast tacos as an appetizer
- Biscuits and gravy as an appetizer
- Pumpkin pecan pancakes
- No room for dessert
