COSTA RICA — In My Natural Habitat 🌺

I grew up going to Mazatlán every summer for 2 months right by the beach where the weather is humid. Being in Costa Rica for a whole week definitely brought back so many childhood memories! Clearly, it’s a different ecosystem, but the weather was definitely enjoyable for me. I seriously mean it when I say that I was in my natural habitat. Yes, the weather was very humid & the rain was unpredictable which I wasn’t very fond of at first being a fashionista. But, my pours were able to breathe & my acne cleared up. I washed my hair everyday per usual. The natural oils that my hair released made my hair silky smooth & my waves were so bouncy. Not nappy or dry or poofy, like in Phoenix. Living in Arizona, I’m always indoors & avoid the sun. After being in the sun everyday while in Costa Rica, my skin got a serious tan. I haven’t been this tanned since I was a little girl!! I felt like a goddess walking around with only concealer mascara & highlight!

Due to the unpredictable weather, I didn’t get to wear all of the cute outfits I had put together. I wish I had brought more matching athletic gear. Here are a few pics of the outfits I was able to capture.

This Aztec print romper is from Maleny G Shop. The fabric is stretchy making it extra comfortable for our travel from Phoenix to LAX 5 hour drive then LAX to SJO 5 hour flight.

This is our first day in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica at the Arenas Del Mar Resort. I wore this strappy one piece swimsuit by Stone Fox Swim, paired with my favorite Levi’s 501 denim shorts.

One this day, we hiked the Rainmaker rainforest and were surrounded by so much natural beauty! I got to walk over several hanging bridges, got caught in the pouring rain, & came across countless of waterfalls. I wore Lululemon everything: tie up silk cardigan, blue sports bra, & black leggings. By the way, those black Reebok hiking boots I purchased on the Poshmark app for $10!

My outfit goals while in Costa Rica was to wear the least amount of clothes as possible (but obviously didn’t wanna walk around naked) due to the humidity. On this evening, we took a walk down into town & had dinner at the most gorgeous resort, Gaia Hotel where we had dinner on a roof top that over looked the rainy rainforest. Here I’m wearing a red bandeau from OOTFash & vintage Levi’s 501 denim shorts.

The following day, we took a Catamaran boat tour where we enjoyed a delicious Wahoo fish lunch, went snorkeling, & bathed in the sun while drinking piña coladas. I purchased this two piece bikini on Poshmark for $8! It is Zara inspired with a neat cup wiring detail. The flowy wrap top I purchased from Maleny G Shop. I got sooo many compliments in this crop top!!

I took a solo day trip to Arenas Del Mar Resort where I enjoyed a lovely spa day & relaxed by the beach drinking the local beer, Imperial. I wore these super comfy palazzo pants from Forever 21 with a two piece bikini from @theora on Poshmark. Can you tell I’m currently obsessed with this crop top bandeau style? Lol

On the same day at Arenas Del Mar, I wore this bright yellow bikini cover up from Forever 21. The fabric is lightweight & sheer. Easy breezy!

This day, we hoped to do a zip lining excursion but everything was closed due to the rainy weather. So we walked around the artisans souvenir shops & down to the Manuel Antonio beach. I wore a matching teal workout outfit from Forever 21, hunter green windbreaker by Lululemon, & with my black Reebok hiking boots (#poshfind). I did wear my LA Dodgers baseball cap when the rain decided to pour, too bad I didn’t run into any Cali peeps.

This RCVA two piece bikini was the perfect attire on this day! We hiked the Manuel Antonio rainforest to reach this gorgeous beach. I would of spent hours upon hours if I could sitting right here. The water was warm & the waves were calm. Not to mention, there was iguanas & monkeys everywhere!!

Towards the end of the trip, I didn’t give a hoot about how I looked as long as I was enjoying the moment. On this rainy & humid day, I got to ride the zip line! I wore a Nike workout top, Nike spandex shorts & my comfy Reebok hiking boots.

On our last day, we drove up from Manuel Antonio to San Jose which was about a 3-hour drive. I made sure to wear something comfy. This blush romper from Maleny G Shop definitely did the job. We got the explore the city for a few hours & I fell in love with their busy city life!

On the last night, I explored our hotel the Wyndham Herradura. I dipped my feet into the jacuzzi & had a drink at the Hard Rock Cafe. I purchased this super cute two piece outfit from Poshmark for $13! The bikini top had a long tie up detail & the shorts had an oversized fit on the legs to look like a skirt. Loved this whole look!!
