How To Move A Lot Of Clothes

Here is my favorite Pinterest packing tip ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’•

Over the past few years, I have moved A LOT.

From my parent’s house, to college dorms, back to my parent’s, then my apartment, & now into my new home. This packing idea has never let me down & it’s honestly super easy!

I have a ton of clothes hung in my closet. (I prefer hanging where I can see it instead of folded in drawers).

When moving & packing up your closet, DO NOT remove the clothes off the hangers. It’s too much of a hassle. Instead, keep the clothes hung on hangers while moving. All you need is plastic trash bags to hold the clothes in place.

I begin by separating up to 10 items with their hangers to an isolated part of my closet. With a trash bag, I start from the very bottom by placing the longest items into the bag first.

Then I make my way up, tucking in any sleeves.

When I’m finally at the very top, I pull on the trash bag strings. I tie the ends into a knot. This will help preventing the bag from opening during its traveling.

I placed the bags one by one in the living room to make room in the closet & bedroom.

Once I was done with the entire closet, I stacked them into the backseat of my car right on top of the other.

When I got the clothes to it’s new location, I simply hung the clothes, untied the knot, & pulled down the trash bag.

& there you have it … The clothes is already hung in its new closet!

I hope this tip comes in handy someday,
